From Email to Performance: Illuminate the Booking Process!
We understand that investing in any third party vendor for your event can be daunting. To help ease your worries, here’s an outline for the full booking process.
1. Inquire About Pricing and Availability
Fill out our inquiry form and provide us details with the date, location, music genre, and any other specific preferences you have in mind. We’ll quickly respond with a thorough quote that accounts for all of your requests.
2. Lock in
The Date
Once you confirm that the details of the quote match the specifications of your event, we’ll send a contract that outlines the terms and conditions, including payment terms. To lock in the date, a small booking fee will be required. This ensures that our musicians can exclude any other performance offers to focus solely on your event.

Now that the date’s locked in, you can schedule a one-on-one conversation with our bandleader Cesar Vazquez to discuss the type of music you would like to have at your event. With a repertoire of hundreds of songs across multiple genres, we can ensure that your musical experience is as unique as your wedding ceremony. In this meeting, we can also discuss song requests, loading and exit logistics, and any other preferences you may have.
Are you ready to get started? All you need to do is get the ball rolling by sending an inquiry, and we’ll handle the next steps. Rest assured that you will receive a prompt and thorough response!
Your Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have another question that’s not on this list? Send us an inquiry about your event and any questions you may have and we’ll get back to you right away.

What wedding services do you provide?
Los Tamales offers live performance services for every component of your wedding, starting from the processional, to the ceremony, to the cocktail hour, and finally to the reception. The length of our performance may vary based on your needs. Our bandleader Cesar Vazquez will guide you through the music consultation process every step of the way.
What kind of music do you play?
Los Tamales is best known for their diverse sound. Our musicians are fluent in multiple jazz styles, Latin music, classical, funk, soul, and more. You have control over what style of music is played at your event, and you can even make specific song requests.
What sets you apart from other bands?
Los Tamales’ dynamic repertoire is unlike any other band in the Chicagoland area. Classic songs are reimagined with new horn lines and masterfully improvised solos. We can fuse your favorite melodies into any genre, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience that makes you think about them in a different way forever.
Can you perform outdoors?
Los Tamales can perform outdoors during the warmer seasons. Wind instruments, like trumpets, trombones, and saxophones, struggle to play well in the cold, so to preserve the quality of our performances we don’t typically do outdoor services in the winter.
How many members are in your band?
Los Tamales currently has 10 musicians in its regular network, but you can customize the size of the band for your event. The minimum amount of musicians we can work with effectively is 3.
Do you travel outside of the Chicagoland area?
Absolutely! Los Tamales may charge additional fees for transportation for long distances, but we would love to play for your wedding ceremony outside of Chicago.
Do you have your own audio equipment?
Los Tamales is proud to have two professional audio engineers on-board. We can provide our own audio equipment and engineering as part of our services.
