Los Tamales are deeply rooted in Chicagoland music traditions, having played all across the region since 2022. Our musicians have played at fundraising events for nonprofit organizations like The Treasure Chest Foundation, Hines VA Hospital, St. Agnes Catholic School, and more.

With diverse training and experience in multiple styles of Latin music, jazz, classical, funk, pop, and more, Los Tamales is uniquely positioned to provide high-quality entertainment for your nonprofit event. Your Music Selection: Setting the Tone for Your Event

Our sets are perfectly themed to your event. Los Tamales is best known for their fluency in multiple derivatives of jazz from the United States, Brazil, Mexico, Caribbean, and Japan. You can choose a single genre, or even blend multiple together. Los Tamales has around 10 original songs split across all genres, but if you would only like us to play covers we can do that too! Los Tamales is best known for their diverse sound. Our musicians are fluent in multiple jazz styles, Latin music, funk, soul, and more. Los Tamales also has multiple original charts across many genres, allowing your event to have a truly unique sound.

Los Tamales’ dynamic repertoire is unlike any other band in the Chicagoland area. Classic songs are reimagined with new horn lines and masterfully improvised solos. We can fuse your favorite melodies into any genre, creating a once-in-a-lifetime experience that makes you think about them in a different way forever.

Los Tamales currently has 10 musicians in its regular network, but you can customize the size of the band for your event. The minimum amount of musicians we can work with effectively is 3. You can choose to have an instrumental set and/or a set that features our vocalist.

Los Tamales is proud to have two professional audio engineers on-board. We can provide our own audio equipment and engineering as part of our services.
